Batteries + Bulbs – Dubuque, IA

Since it opened I’ve always been curious to see what it was like inside. And finally, today I needed a bulb I couldn’t find at Walmart, so bam! I decided to experience this. I don’t even know how to quite describe the ordeal. The man that was there either lacks communication with others or it could have been just me. Going with could have been me, I just brushed off the initial welcome and proceeded to the front and asked for what I was looking for. I then knew it wasn’t me, because I wasn’t saying or doing anything different than normal.

The prices are right in this location! Just about right for what you’re looking for. Appearance outside doesn’t match indoors. The building looks bigger when you’re driving by, almost intimidating. Indoors, however, it’s a small little shack of a store. Comforting, really. Because you don’t have travel a mile to find what you’re looking for. It’s right there.

Service impressions are everlasting. This customer service isn’t the best. If you’re wanting to just “git ‘n’ go”, it’s alright. But if you’re working on a project, be prepared to old your own. I felt out of place, unwelcome, and rushed out. Good luck!

To cut this short: service was a three on the rating scale. I was left feeling stupid and like a burden more than I should have. He spoke to me as if I was some child in the wrong store. I couldn’t wait to leave. Thankfully the bulb I got worked out okay, because I’m not sure if I could have gone there to return it.
